A homeowner contacted Kato Electric because an LED ceiling fixture was blinking and making unusual noises. Once the fixture was removed, Kato and Christian discovered heat and fire damage hidden inside it.
The problem
The existing LED fixture had been blinking and making noises, indicating that something was not working properly.
What we found
After removing the fixture, we found significant heat damage inside it. The damage had been hidden above the visible portion of the light, so the homeowner had no way of knowing it was there.
How we fixed it
We removed the damaged fixture, reinforced the ceiling box and installed the homeowner’s new ceiling fan. The fan was tested and operating properly before we completed the job.
